Silent-Yachts Wants to Build a ‘Floating Luxury Adventure Resort’

Despite what the name might tell you, Silent-Yachts is making a lot of noise. The worldwide leader in the construction of electric luxury catamarans has a solid reputation for boldness and innovation. The brand’s commitment to minimising the impact of humans on the marine environment has pushed them to provide better yachts without sacrificing luxury. Now the watercraft producers are taking that approach and commitment and applying it to a new venture—Silent-Resorts.

“The new project is aligned with our strategy to deliver sustainable, completely silent, fossil-free leisure experience to clients,” Michael Köhler, the founder and CEO of Silent-Yachts explained to PowerBoat. “And it is beneficial for the building process. No costly remote site construction, lengthy approvals, complex engineering, or land-based invasive infrastructure development needed anymore. We provide a floating luxury adventure resort, and experience like no other.”

The idea behind Silent-Resorts is to create a fully autonomous resort that offers both land and sea experiences that all run on solar energy. Guess can use Silent-Yacht’s catamarans as floating villas. These crafts feature four suites with private bathrooms and large saloons complete with a chef’s kitchen, a terrace, and a sundeck. There are also other amenities that you can choose from. Silent-Resorts takes care of all the infrastructure and design, which includes arrival docks, restaurant, pool, clubhouse, gym, and spa along with hardwood timber suites.

The vision is to allow guests to “live fully” and “tread lightly” on the environment in some of the world’s most beautiful and pristine locations. And it looks like that goal is about to happen. Kohler reported, “Actually, we are in talks with investors interested in Caribbean private island development. Resort owners will Aveo the reduced capital investment, and the on-going operational costs will be a fraction of a traditional property. Rooms are no longer fixed to the land or any specific location because they’re on board our floating villas. All resort assets are ‘personal property,’ eliminating the need for expensive and complex foreign lands ownership and tax structures.”

As good as this idea sounds, Silent-Yachts and Silent-Resorts may not be able to keep things silent long. Once word gets out, it’s bound to make a lot of noise in the tourism world.
