Meet the most extreme iteration of the Ducati Multistrada range and this time it is prepped for the track while keeping its touring DNA intact. The Multistrada in its various forms has always been one of the sharpest adventure bikes around and now riders get their prayers answered with a track-focused version.
This V4 RS will be produced in limited numbers with pricing set at $55,800 ride away and comes with the Desmosedici Stradale engine, taken from the Panigale V4 no less.
This instantly marks it out within the Multistrada range and the 1,103-cc motor develops a maximum power of 180 hp, with limiter at 13,500 rpm. That is a big amount of power, but Ducati has gone a step further and shortened the final ratio while keeping the gear ratios unchanged. Further changes also include an STM-EVO SBK dry clutch made from billet aluminium, with a specific configuration of springs and slipper ramps- just like on the Panigale V4 SP2 and Streetfighter V4 SP2.

Tuning is linked closer to its racier siblings. There are four riding Modes, namely Race, Sport, Touring, Urban while Full Power Mode is introduced for the first time in a Multistrada. The V4 RS is also equipped with EBC (Engine Brake Control) adjustable on three levels, which allows the rider to customize the engine braking. Expect the V4 RS to also be louder with the Akrapovič silencer enabling this superbike engine to sing. Suspension duties meanwhile are handled by Öhlins with a single-sided aluminium swingarm and forged rims.
That said, the other side of performance machines is lightness and the Multistrada has also been put through a weight-saving regime with carbon fibre components such as the front mudguard, hand guards, heat shields, and front beak while a titanium seat support frame also saves up 2.5 kg compared to a standard one.
Ducati won’t be making a lot of these special Multistrada’s with specific numbering on a black anodized aluminium plate, embellished with the Italian flag on the triple clamp. Billed as the ‘sportiest touring motorcycle ever’, the V4 RS arrives in the second quarter of ‘24, with a $55,800 ride away price.
