The North Face – Of A Lifetime
Nick Hall – Editor-in-Chief
For the past few weeks, my wife (Borat voice) and I have been trying to get out and be more active. We’ve done a few hikes and bushwalks, slowly working our way up to the more challenging aspects of the Australian terrain. A major piece of motivation for both of us has been the near-endless amount of travel vlogs and adventure stories on YouTube. This week I stumbled across Of A Lifetime, a short film created by The North Face that chronicles a remarkable voyage undertaken by three generations of the renowned De Le Rue family to Antarctica. It is breathtaking.
In the 44-minute film, you follow Xavier, a seven-time world champion; his younger brother Victor, a three-time world champion; and his daughter Mila, who is turning 18 and embarking on her first expedition, as they make their way to the southernmost tip of the globe. The scenery as they pass through the infamous Drake Passage is incredible, and once they arrive, it becomes an almost unimaginable exploration of big-mountain free riding. If you are looking for inspiration, try this one out.

Reebok Nano X5 Trainers
Scott Purcell – Co-Founder
Today is one of those, “if you know, you know”, columns because both of these products are top notch. First, Reebok has launched the 15th-anniversary edition of its Nano Series shoe, the Nano X5. I’ve already got a pair of the X4s and can safely say that they are the perfect shoe for any weightlifting or cross-training (like F45, which is what I do). So what’s different in this upgraded version?
There is something called “DUALRESPONSE EVA,” which is a midsole that provides both cushioning and responsiveness in the forefoot while being firmer and more stable in the rear, which is where most of your power comes from when lifting heavy weights. The new X5s are available for $220 AUD and come in a bunch of shiny new colours, too.

Balsam Hill Christmas Trees
This was the first year I went shopping for an artificial Christmas tree with my girlfriend, and I didn’t realise that you really get what you pay for when it comes to quality. So, if you’re looking for the best of the best, you shouldn’t go past Balsam Hill. They offer a crazy selection of realistic-looking trees that are true to life with natural evergreen species. The individual needles are also packed with “True Needle” technology. What’s this wizardry, I hear you ask? Well they use bi-coloured plastic in the needles that are stunningly realistic. You can even upgrade your tree with pre-strung lights to make the set-up process even easier. Their website also has a bunch of premium decorations, ornaments and wreaths.

The North Face Antora Rain Jacket
Frank Arthur – Co-Founder
I’m a staunch raincoat-over-brolly guy. Umbrellas are cumbersome, easy to lose, and often more trouble than they’re worth. A solid rain jacket, on the other hand, is reliable and hassle-free, especially when navigating the umbrella crowded streets on a rainy day.
My go-to raincoat is The North Face Antora Jacket. Inspired by the iconic Mountain Light Jacket, it’s a waterproof, windproof, and breathable shell made with 100% recycled fabrics. It features a seam-sealed construction with a durable water-repellent finish to keep me dry and comfortable. Its design also includes secure-zip hand pockets, an adjustable cord-lock hood, and a storm flap with a hook-and-loop closure for extra protection. And while it’s built for hiking and outdoor adventures, the Antora Jacket’s sleek alpine-style design makes it equally perfect for urban settings. Lightweight yet rugged, it’s my all-weather essential that balances functionality, sustainability and style.

Perrier-Jouët’s Belle Epoque Vintages
Elliott Barbsy – Commercial Director
It’s champagne season. Time to celebrate and indulge! I was lucky enough to recently attend a special event hosted at Café Sydney, where Perrier-Jouët unveiled three exquisite new vintages that showcase the artistry and excellence that define this revered champagne house.
Perrier-Jouët is a maison that I’m very familiar with, being the champagne we served at my wedding. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to sample these latest releases: the Belle Epoque 2015, Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2014, and Belle Epoque Rosé 2014. These iconic cuvées highlight Perrier-Jouët’s dedication to craftsmanship and celebrate their signature grape, Chardonnay. A few tasting notes…
- Belle Epoque 2015 – We began the evening with the Belle Epoque 2015, an elegantly structured drop. Its delicate fruity notes of white peach and pink grapefruit set the tone perfectly for the stunning Café Sydney dinner to come.
- Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2014 – If forced to choose, the Blanc de Blancs 2014, made from 100% Chardonnay, would be my top pick of the evening. A lovely pale gold colour with abundant aromas of white flowers, almonds, and ginger, it has fantastic minerality and an elegant, silky texture. It paired beautifully with the snapper, pea, and broad bean main course.
- Belle Epoque Rosé 2014 – We ended on a high note with the Belle Epoque Rosé 2014. This elegant pale pink rosé champagne offered fresh berry aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant, providing a perfect finale to the evening.
These three remarkable champagnes exemplify Perrier-Jouët’s expertise and show why it remains one of the world’s most revered champagne houses. With the festive season in full swing, it’s the perfect time to switch off, celebrate, and pop a bottle from this stunning new range.

Baracuta Limited-Edition Original Premium G9 Harrington
Rob Edwards – Branded Content Editor
Few articles of clothing have arrived as perfectly formed as the Baracuta G9 Harrington did when it debuted in 1937. Originally intended to be worn as a golf jacket, it has since become an icon of menswear, worn by everyone from Elvis Presley and Steve McQueen to Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper. Many brands have produced their own interpretation of the G9—Fred Perry, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford—and yet none of them can hold a candle to the original with its often-copied-but-never-bettered tartan lining.
Now, Baracuta has launched a faithful limited-edition replica of the original G9 from its archive. With only 100 numbered jackets being made, this is sure to become a collector’s item, and I’m sorely tempted to add it to the eight-strong collection of G9s already hanging in my closet.
