Feel-Good Friday: January 27 – Never Ending

Forget about politics and ideologies for a second, and let’s focus on the grouse-ness of the four-day workweek. It’s like hitting the jackpot at the office, an extra day to do whatever you please, whether it’s taking a nap, going on a hike, or just watching Netflix. Don’t take our word for it, a distant relative of a friend’s cousin’s sister told us it’s true, four-day workweeks are the secret to productivity. It’s not just a pipe dream, it’s already a reality in some places like Scandinavia (we heard). So, while we do our best to start this worker’s revolution, let’s enjoy the weekend’s positive vibes with the latest edition of Feel-Good Friday.

adidas Reveals FIFA Women’s World Cup AUNZ Official Match Ball

adidas has today celebrated the global unveiling of its official FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™ match football with a grand spectacle on one of Australia’s most recognisable shorelines.

The giant replica of the OCEAUNZ Official Match Ball, measuring a sizeable 4m in diameter, soared high above Sydney completing a round-tour of Sydney Harbour by helicopter. For the grand reveal the football made its way to the iconic Bondi Beach vista, and was placed at Mark’s Park, which had been transformed into a quarter-sized football pitch for the event.

Collaborating with Australian and New Zealand artists respectively, a green-blue colour palette and visuals nod to the natural landscapes of the two host nations, celebrating their coming together for this historical moment in women’s sport.

With the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™ officially kicking-off on July 20th and concluding a month later on August 20, the OCEAUNZ Official Match Ball will feature on the pitch during the earlier stages of the tournament ahead of the Semi-finals and Final.

Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama bring their Collection to Life through AR on Snapchat

Snap is partnering with Louis Vuitton and Japanese contemporary artist, Yayoi Kusama, to bring their collection to life through Augmented Reality (AR) on Snapchat. These new landmarker Lenses use Snap AR to imprint Kusama’s signature Painted Dots on iconic monuments around the world including the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Statue of Liberty in New York City, Tower Bridge in London, and more.

Louis Vuitton’s Painted Dots range in collaboration with Kusama represents the ongoing bond between the artist and Louis Vuitton. The dots in the collection use a technique that gives the pattern a realistic hand-painted effect. Through this partnership, Louis Vuitton leverages AR as a paint brush, making the world their and Kusama’s canvas to surprise and delight consumers globally.

Snap’s AR Landmarker tech makes it possible for creators to anchor their AR creations to iconic structures. Thanks to this technology, the world around us has become an open canvas for brands and artists alike to experiment and reach consumers in new ways.
