In the world of elite Swiss watchmaking, no one does it with quite the same elegance, class, and style as Vacheron Constantin. From the timeless aesthetic of the Historiques 222 to the bold styling of the Métiers d’Art collection, every watch this maison produces is a masterpiece.

Now, as the brand that has long set the standard by which so many others are judged celebrates its 270th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin has raised the bar once again. This time, in the retail space via the reopening of its newly refurbished Melbourne boutique.

Located at the top end of Collins Street, the expanded boutique offers an experience that combines the Swiss horology house’s unrivalled pedigree with a touch of local flair. Let’s take a closer look.

Where Australian and Swiss Cultures Meet

By blending Vacheron Constantin’s singular identity and values with local Australian elements, the watchmaker has crafted a boutique like no other. Featuring elements that are inspired by Australia’s unparalleled natural beauty, it’s a compelling environment that’s the height of Swiss luxury on one hand and uniquely Australian on the other.

From its vibrant ocean blue carpet—a tribute to Australia’s incomparably beautiful coastline—to the earthy tones and natural materials of the boutique’s Broun Room— a celebration of our diverse landscapes and ecosystems—I can’t imagine a place I’d rather explore the master maison’s extraordinary collections.

The Beautiful & the Bespoke

Speaking of which, visitors to the boutique will find a curated collection of timepieces drawn from the Patrimony, Traditionnelle, Overseas, Fiftysix, and Historiques collections, within which sits a variety of mid-to-high complications.

Plus, the boutique-exclusive Traditionnelle Chronograph Tourbillon Collection Excellence Platine also awaits, as does the limited-edition Patrimony self-winding made in collaboration with French designer Ora ïto, as well as the aforementioned Historiques 222 in steel, which was launched in January to kick off the watchmaker’s 270th-anniversary celebrations.

Further, the new boutique boasts a customisation area where guests can personalise their watches with a wide array of strap colours, materials, and stitching options, enabling each visitor to adapt their stunning new Vacheron Constantin timepiece to their own unique style.

According to Vacheron Constantin’s brand director for Australia and New Zealand, Amy-Jackson Lai, “The newly renovated Vacheron Constantin boutique at 88 Collins Street, Melbourne, is more than an haute horologerie showroom—it is a home for watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs, designed to offer a unique experience that blends the maison’s 270-year heritage with Australia’s rich culture. Featuring elements inspired by our land and sea, including a boomerang-shaped bar, the space reflects both watchmaking excellence and a deep connection to the local community.”

Having attended the boutique’s reopening ceremony, I can attest that it’s a beautiful location where Australian watch lovers will feel right at home. If that sounds like your cup of tea—and let’s be honest, if you’ve read this far, it probably is—be sure to swing by this stunning spot as soon as you get the chance.
