When Do 2026 Father’s Day Sales Start?
Most Aussie retailers open their Father’s Day campaigns in the last fortnight of August. For 2026 that means the bulk of the discounting should run from roughly 24 August through to Sunday 6 September.
There is a useful quirk in this year’s calendar. Afterpay Day runs from 13 to 16 August, just three weeks before Father’s Day, so a good deal of that August discounting carries straight through. If you are shopping online, the delivery cut-off is the real deadline rather than the date itself, and those cut-offs usually fall in the first few days of September.

How We Choose These Deals
We only list an offer once we have confirmed it on the retailer’s own Father’s Day page, and we date every check. General clearance and year-round member pricing are excluded unless the retailer has tied them to Father’s Day, because a percentage sitting in a website’s navigation is not a Father’s Day deal. Prices and availability change quickly during a sale period, so always confirm at the checkout. Some links on this page are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something. That never affects which deals we include.
Father’s Day Sales FAQ
Most Australian retailers launch their Father’s Day offers in the last two weeks of August. In 2026, expect the bulk of the discounting to run from roughly 24 August through to Sunday 6 September.
JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Kogan, Myer, David Jones, BIG W, Kmart, Costco, Dan Murphy’s, BCF, Anaconda, Kathmandu, rebel, Supercheap Auto, Shaver Shop, THE ICONIC, RedBalloon and R.M.Williams all run dedicated Father’s Day pages. Most launch their actual discounts in the final fortnight before the day.
As of 10 August 2026, THE ICONIC has Rodd and Gunn crew knits at buy 2 save $100, RedBalloon has experiences including a Hunter Valley hot air balloon flight for two at $100 off, Kathmandu’s Father’s Day collection carries member pricing from 30 to 50 per cent off, and Lenovo has announced up to 22 per cent off. Most other retailers have not discounted yet.
Yes. Afterpay Day runs from 13 to 16 August 2026, about three weeks before Father’s Day, so a good deal of that August discounting carries through into the Father’s Day period. It is worth checking both if you are shopping early.
Generally yes, if you can hold out. Father’s Day sits in a traditionally quiet retail quarter, so retailers discount hard to drive traffic, and the deepest offers tend to land in the final week. The trade-off is stock and delivery: online orders need to clear the retailer’s delivery cut-off, which usually falls in the first few days of September.
