During an event hosted by TAG Heuer at Sydney’s MCA last night, Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth auctioned off a one-off timepiece in aid of charity, in a room filled to the brim with VIPs.

The highlight of the night was TAG’s feature piece, made specially for for the event. Chris Hemsworth, of Thor fame, unveiled a one-of-a-kind TAG Heuer Carrera timepiece that he collaboratively designed and produced with the stalwart whorologists. The bespoke Carrera Calibre Heuer 02 watch, inspired by Chris’s own unique style, is equipped with a 43mm case, in-house Calibre Heuer 02 movement, black perforated rubber strap, and a striking blue skeleton dial.
Chris’s signature is featured on the case-back accompanied by a special edition watch box, which was auctioned on the night for the Australian Childhood Foundation, with a total of $35,000 donated to the charity.
TAG Heuer’s Sydney Flagship is hosting the “Museum in Motion” exhibition, which also launched at last night’s event, celebrating heritage timepieces from the TAG Heuer museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, collectors’ personal timepieces, and the latest contemporary avant-garde models inspired by the brand’s rich history in motoracing and craftsmanship.
The exhibition continues until the 21st of June.
