Bundaberg Rum Unveils Lavish Limited-Edition ‘Sugarcane Champers’ Bottles
Bundaberg Rum has been affectionately known as sugarcane champagne for years, and today they’ve turned that colloquial product name into a reality. The Queensland Distilling Company has linked up with Uber Eats to create Maison de Bundy’s Blanc de Cane, a new bottling heading to three exclusive venues on Australia’s east coast this Friday, June 10. And the best part is, the limited-edition drink will be given away for free (while stocks last), so start packing your camping gear and watch out for drop bears.

The unique partnership commemorates Bundaberg’s new alcoholic ginger beer and celebrates premium alcoholic beverages arriving on Uber Eats. “What better way to celebrate being able to get a tipple through Uber Eats along the east coast of the country than by partnering with a storied Australian brand like Bundy,” said Uber Eats General Manager of Retail, ANZ, Lucas Groeneveld. “We know Bundy is affectionately dubbed ‘sugarcane champagne’ throughout Queensland – and further afield, too – so we’re overjoyed to have been able to collaborate with Bundy to create this exclusive item. While the name is tongue in cheek, the product is world-class in every way,”.
Taking inspiration from the wine-growing houses of France, Maison de Bundy’s Blanc de Cane premium bottling deserves an exhibition at the Louvre. The 640ml glass bottle is adorned with a label featuring accentuated golden notes on a midnight black background and includes the iconic polar figure emblazoned in the centre rosette.

The release is limited to a run of just one thousand and will be available free (one bottle per person) for Uber Eats customers to enjoy at locations in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria on Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11. Three exclusive venues have been hand-picked to distribute the rare product, including Sydney’s The Civic Hotel, Melbourne’s The Sporting Globe (Richmond) and Brisbane’s Leonards and Dawn. Bundy fans wanting to acquire a bottle simply show their Uber Eats app to bar staff at these venues from 5pm on Friday.
