First Integrated Platform Launched for Men Looking for Support
Suicide Prevention Australia, in partnership with the Australian Men’s Health Forum, has recently launched Doing It Tough? – the first integrated platform of its kind for men in New South Wales who may be looking for support when things get tough.
Doing It Tough? is an easy-access platform to help men find services, resources and other support in their local community, extended networks, or via preferred organisations. Individuals can search the platform via various filters that fit their needs, including cultural, location, age, and industry profiles. Services are categorised into four areas: clinical, specialist, community-based, and male-friendly.
Notably, the platform identifies those services where men can have safe conversations around issues they face in their personal lives, including thoughts of suicide.
KitKat Gives the Planet a Break with Historic Packaging
In celebration of World Environment Day, the KitKat team has made a significant break in its packaging, announcing its four-finger chocolate bar is now wrapped using 30% recycled plastic. This Aussie-first packaging is part of the KitKat team’s bid to give the planet a break. The move will see more than 40 million 45g KitKat bars packed in the 30% recycled plastic wrapper in the next year, cutting virgin plastic use by around 250,000m 2. That’s enough to cover the water surface of more than 200 50m swimming pools.
The newly packaged KitKat 45g will be available nationwide from June 2022. Nestlé is planning to introduce food grade soft plastic wrappers made with recycled content to further product ranges as global packaging supply availability increases.
