Samsung Launches the Largest 8K TV in Australia at 98-inches

The latest TV from Samsung is the massive 98-inch QLED 8K model, and it’s currently the largest TV available in Australia. It’s also the most expensive. The price tag on this beauty is AUD$99,999.

Yep–literally a buck shy of one hundred thousand dollars. If you have a spare 100K, you can purchase one now from select retailers and Samsung online.

So what makes this TV so special? Well, QLED 8K is said to deliver pin-sharp picture quality, remarkable design, innovative smart features and the best resolution. Samsung says its new TVs introduce incredible depth and detail, creating a premium cinematic experience that needs to be seen to believed. It’s also really big.

“As the pinnacle of our TV range, the 98-inch QLED 8K is the ultimate in home entertainment,” said Jeremy Senior, Head of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia. “This TV delivers levels of immersion and picture quality the likes of which Australians have rarely seen.”

Samsung’s 8K TVs can also apparently upscale low-resolution content to 8K whether the content comes through a streaming service like Netflix, HDMI or even mirroring a mobile display. This feature has game-changing potential, possibly impacting how classic content is viewed and how content is produced moving forward.
