When you’re wearing a Rolex, chances are that you want people to notice your wrist. Rolex’s new Yacht-Master 42 will help get people’s attention with a wider wrist presence, thanks to a 2mm increase in its size and a bold new colour scheme.
The white gold watch was debuted at Baselworld 2019. The 18-karat white gold case features a matte black Cerachrome bezel and a black dial. The bezel is bidirectional and features raised graduations and numerals, and the mix of white gold and black creates a striking contrast that’s sure to attract even more attention. The Oysterflex rubber bracelet is also black, finishing off the elegant look.
A first for the Yacht-Master line, the 42 is powered by a calibre 3235 movement. The self-winding mechanical movement uses Rolex’s patented Chronergy escapement. Thanks to its nickel-phosphorous composition, the movement is resistant to magnetic interference.
The watch boasts a 70-hour power reserve, comes with a date window, and the Oysterflex bracelet features metal blades inside and uses Rolex’s Glidelock extension system.
