NCL Floats Out Joy – A Cruise Ship that Comes with a Ferrari Go-Kart Track

The Norwegian Joy is a 3,900-passenger cruise ship that will sail out of Tianjin and Shanghai, China beginning in June. At more than 168,000 gross tonnes, this cruise ship is one of the largest ever constructed by NCL. This large vessel features an aqua park complete with a two person water slide, interactive virtual reality theatre, outdoor laser tag course, a huge casino, spa and fitness centre. But, that is not all, guests enjoy a variety of cuisine, Broadway-caliber entertainment and—for those who love bar hopping—13 different bars to enjoy. As if that isn’t impressive enough, the Joy even has something that no other cruise ship has, a Ferrari Go-Kart Track.

NCL partnered with Scuderia Ferrari to design this fantastic attraction at sea. Located on Deck 19, the top deck of the ocean liner, the two-level competitive racetrack will feature ten electric go-karts. If you love the tranquillity of the sea combined with the adrenaline of race cars, this attraction is for you. You will get to enjoy breathtaking views of the clear blue sea while you race along at more 64 km/h.

The ship will also feature a retail store right next to the racetrack that offers Scuderia Ferrari watches for sale. The inspiration behind these timepieces is the Scuderia Ferrari Racing Team. They feature the signature design and sculpted forms of the sleek Ferrari race cars.

The Joy’s inaugural Port tour is scheduled for June 27th. Then, it will homeport in China. With all of these excellent amenities, we only have one question— when can we board?
