2023 LG OLED TV Line-Up Revealed, 70 Per Cent Brighter With New webOS
While the LG OLED panel has been the choice in the large-scale television market since it was introduced a decade ago, there’s always been an asterisk called ‘brightness’ for certain buyers. And with competition increasing in the space thanks to Samsung’s very own OLED, the brand has been forced to turn things up with the unveiling of its 2023 LG OLED TV lineup.
In fact, LG’s turning it way up with a brightness increase to the tune of 70 per cent for some models. We’re detailing everything you need to know about the 2023 LG OLED TV lineup below, so read on.

When you read the word ‘OLED’ your mind goes straight to one brand, LG. They’ve been a leader in the space for the better part of a decade, winning the CES Innovation Awards for 11 years running thanks to their remarkable self-lit OLED panel. Evolving time and time again to offer some of the best picture quality in the industry, the vibrant, accurate colours with deep blacks, and an infinite contrast ratio is what kept fans coming back.
Months after revealing the world’s largest OLED TV, alongside an equally as impressive (and world-first) stretchable display, the brand has lifted the lid on its 2023 LG OLED TV lineup, including the latest Z3, G3 and C3 OLED evo series TVs.
New for 2023 is the α9 AI Processor that returns in its 6th generation (Gen6), utilising the same LG AI-assisted DeepLearning technology to deliver premium picture and sound quality. As is the case with modern televisions, upscaling is handled by AI Picture Pro and offers improved picture processing technology that detects and refines important objects, such as people’s faces, to give them more lifelike HDR quality.
The same goes for sound quality, with virtual 9.1.2 surround sound from the TV’s built-in speaker system thanks to the new generation α9 AI Processor Gen6 chip. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are also included.

Maybe the biggest upgrade for the 2023 LG OLED TV lineup is the LG Brightness BoosterMax technology, which incorporates brand-new light control architecture and light-boosting algorithms to increase brightness. This is applied on a pixel-by-pixel basis, with results said to include a brighter, sharper, and more realistic image. We look forward to testing this side-by-side when we get the chance to spend some time with the range later this year.
In terms of aesthetics, the 2023 LG G3 OLED evo models introduce a flush-mount system that leaves no visible gap when wall-mounted. Switch the new model on and you’ll find the latest version of webOS showcasing ‘All New Home’, a redesigned user interface (UI) that offers more personalisation options. New ‘Quick Cards’ offers easy access to your most used content and are grouped together in categories such as Home Office, Gaming, Music, and Sports.
Availability, pricing and specifications for Australia have yet to be determined by LG Australia. For reference, a 2022 LG C1 OLED in 65-inch size has an RRP of $3,876.00 so expect pricing to sit right around $4000 AUD.
