The New Apple TV and AirPlay 2 apps are now available on Apple devices along with the 2019 range of Samsung Smart TVs.
What this means is select Samsung TV owners can access Apple TV channels and over 100,000 movies and TV shows via iTunes, all without casting images or connecting additional hardware. With AirPlay 2, users can effortlessly play videos and other content from their iPhone, iPad or Mac directly to their TVs.
To access the content, users can simply select the Apple TV app on a compatible Samsung TV and enjoy content in 4K HDR where available. The Apple TV app works seamlessly with Samsung’s Smart TV Services, such as Universal Guide, Bixby and Search.
Users can choose to subscribe to premium channels, paying only for the ones they want. This app also includes future access to the recently announced Apple TV+ subscription service which will offer original programming from the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, J.J. Abrams, Jason Momoa, M. Night Shyamalan and more.
“For the last decade, Samsung has been at the forefront of offering the broadest selection of content available to consumers on our Smart TV platform,” said Won-Jin Lee, EVP, Visual Display, Samsung.
“As the first TV manufacturer to integrate the Apple TV app on a Smart TV platform, Samsung continues to offer our customers incredible value and access to the Apple TV app experience on the largest screens available today.”
