Releasing throughout February are six styles of Nike’s Air Max 720 which features the tallest air unit in the sporting brand’s history. Measuring 38mm high, the full-length airbag is designed to keep the body feeling buoyant and agile, while the soft, elastic sensation provides a strong bounce.
720 is a dual-gender lifestyle performance shoe built for comfort and style. 720 is also an exercise in reducing Nike’s environmental footprint.
All units are made from more than 75% recycled waste, Nike recycles and reuses 95% of all manufacturing waste, and by the end of 2019, 100% of Nike Air manufacturing will be powered by clean, renewable energy. Nike believes there should be no trade-off between reducing its environmental footprint and improving footwear performance.
The first of the Air Max 720s “Northern Lights” launched February 1 in limited quantities. Next up is the Air Max 720 in “Sunrise” and “Sunset” colourways, releasing February 21 for Nike+ members.
“Total Eclipse,” “Sea Forest” and “Pink Sea” colours are available from February 28 in limited quantities on the Nike website and from select global retailers.
